Comparison of cervical length measured by pelvic organ prolapse quantification system and sonography

This study showed a significant discrepancy between the POPQ system and sonography in the measurement of cervical length. Given the essential role of cervical elongation detection in choosing the most suitable approach in POP patients, it seems reasonable to repeat cervical length measurements by alternative methods like sonography rather than relying solely on the POP-Q system. Moreover, further research with actual cervical lengths as a gold standard is recommended to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of these modalities more appropriately.
